COOK ISLANDS: Papahika

Polynesiaans were very determined to go to other islands to spread the mesasge. Papahika was determined to get the message in Roratonga in the Cook Islands. So the mission ship arrived there. The 2 missionaries from overseas, white missionaries, were put ashore. There was a misunderstanding with a drunken king which resulted in them being beaten up and all their possessions being stolen and them fleeing back to the ship. But Papahika was determined to take the Gospel message to those islanders. So it was reported that he was going to swim ashore. And he called out Jehovah is my Shepherd, I am in his hand! and holding a book with some translations of the Bible in Tahitian he jumped overboard, swam ashore and stated preaching to the local people.
